MrQ Adopts ClearStake “ID by Bank” to Enhance Verification

UK-based iGaming operator MrQ has partnered with ClearStake to implement its latest player verification technology, ‘ID by Bank’.

The integration streamlines the know-your-customer (KYC) process and addresses challenges linked to document fraud and player registration drop-offs.

MrQ’s players can now verify their identity—including name, address and date of birth—directly via their banking app, eliminating the traditional requirement to upload physical documents.

The approach is intended to improve user onboarding by offering a faster, more secure experience.

ClearStake’s ‘ID by Bank’ is tailored specifically for the iGaming industry, responding to increased concerns around identity fraud and compliance obligations under the UK Gambling Commission’s anti-money laundering framework. It enables operators to perform robust customer due diligence while reducing friction during registration.

The adoption of this solution underscores MrQ’s focus on maintaining compliance standards and improving conversion rates by minimising abandonment at critical onboarding stages.

As digital verification continues to evolve, the collaboration highlights a growing industry trend of leveraging financial data integrations to meet regulatory requirements and enhance player trust.
