MGM Resorts and BetMGM Expand Responsible iGaming Initiatives with GameSense in NFL Stadiums

MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have announced an expansion of their responsible gaming efforts in partnership with the American Gaming Association during Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM) in September 2025. For the third consecutive year, GameSense messaging will feature across select NFL stadiums, with Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia added as a new venue for the 2025 season.

The initiative will see GameSense content displayed on LED ribbons, scoreboards during pre-game activities, and in gameday magazines. Additional messaging will appear across digital platforms, retail sportsbooks, Las Vegas marquees and the MGM Grand Live Dealer studio, alongside BetMGM reminders encouraging players to budget and take time-outs, supported by QR codes linking to responsible gaming resources.

GameSense, licensed by MGM Resorts from the British Columbia Lottery Corporation in 2017, is designed to promote proactive and transparent conversations about gambling responsibly. To date, over 1,900 MGM Resorts employees have been certified as GameSense Advisors, while BetMGM continues to work with EPIC Global Solutions to provide training.

Coinciding with RGEM, MGM Resorts will also contribute $250,000 to the International Center for Responsible Gaming to support independent research into player protection and employee support strategies within the igaming and land-based sectors.

“Placing GameSense in league stadiums gives us direct access to millions of fans each week,” said Rhea Loney, Chief Compliance Officer, BetMGM. “It’s a powerful platform to promote public awareness and amplify our company’s commitment to provide a safe and informed gambling experience.”

Stephen Martino, SVP and Chief Compliance Officer, MGM Resorts, said, “Investing in our team members through extensive training and scientific research sets higher operational standards and elevates the guest experience. It also supports the long-term sustainability of our business and the communities where we operate.”

Joe Maloney, SVP Strategic Communications, American Gaming Association, said, “Collaboration plays a vital role in enhancing responsible gaming outcomes. We’re proud to partner with MGM Resorts and BetMGM and see firsthand how these efforts are making a meaningful difference.”
