International Game Technology PLC (IGT) has earned a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), marking its continued commitment to promoting LGBTQ+ workplace equality. The CEI is the leading benchmarking survey in the United States, measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace.
The 2025 CEI report features 1,449 participants, highlighting the progress of U.S.-based companies in fostering LGBTQ+ inclusive policies both domestically and internationally. The index evaluates businesses based on four key pillars: non-discrimination policies, equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families, support for an inclusive culture, and corporate social responsibility.
IGT’s efforts to achieve this distinction are largely driven by its Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). The company has implemented several initiatives designed to enhance diversity across the organization and create a welcoming environment for all employees. These include:
- Using LGBTQ+ job boards for inclusive and equitable hiring practices
- Supporting employee-led groups, such as the PRIDE with IGT group, in collaboration with the DEI team to develop new programming and policies
- Providing mandatory and elective training on unconscious bias, cultural awareness, and harassment prevention
- Introducing gender transition guidelines to assist employees transitioning within the workplace
- Enforcing transgender-inclusive restroom policies and a gender-neutral dress code
- Allowing employees to select and share their preferred pronouns
- Hosting career resource fairs to support the LGBTQ+ community in navigating the job market
These initiatives reflect IGT’s ongoing commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and fostering a workplace where all employees are supported and valued.
“IGT once again achieving a top score in HRC Foundation’s 2025 CEI showcases our commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace where LGBTQ+ employees can thrive and feel safe, supported and empowered,” said Brian Blake, IGT Vice President, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. “IGT believes that diversity, equity and inclusion are critical to the value we create in the market. We are continuously evolving our policies, practices and benefits to ensure IGT remains an inclusive employer for LGTBQ+ professionals, and this recognition from the HRC motivates us to continue fostering a culture where all employees feel valued.”
