BetMGM, a prominent operator in the iGaming and sports betting industry, has announced that a player has won a staggering $6.4 million progressive jackpot, marking the largest online casino jackpot in U.S. history.
On August 19, a player on BetMGM Casino in New Jersey hit the historic jackpot while playing the “Fruit Blaster” slot game, securing the life-changing win with a $200 bet.
The jackpot, part of BetMGM’s exclusive “The Big One” progressive jackpot pool, reached an impressive $4 million in February and continued to grow through the spring. Players in New Jersey could access the pool across multiple platforms, including BetMGM, Borgata, Wheel of Fortune Casino, and Party Casino, with games developed in-house by Entain.
The winning game, “Fruit Blaster,” is a five-reel slot featuring various fruit symbols such as oranges, cherries, lemons, and plums. The combination of these symbols on winning paylines can trigger substantial payouts, including the progressive jackpot.
BetMGM also offers jackpot winners exceeding $500,000 a luxurious trip to an MGM Resorts International property, enhancing the thrill of winning with a memorable experience. This reflects BetMGM’s close relationship with MGM Resorts and their focus on delivering exceptional experiences.
Following the record-setting win, “The Big One” progressive jackpot in New Jersey has been reset and now stands at $1.2 million as of August 20.
